Noritake Katana
Katana features a zirconium substructure with noticeably higher translucency and nine colored shades for even and stable coloring. DAL uses premium Noritake CZR porcelain for layering and pressing to zirconia. Noritake porcelain strikes the perfect balance of chroma and value that leads to a stunningly life-like restoration while eliminating the high value at the margins.
Katana is indicated for both anterior and posterior single crowns, bridgework and premium reconstruction up to a full roundhouse. This unique product is a proven alternative to other zirconia materials and to conventional PFM’s with these distinct advantages:
• Vital, translucent esthetics with no
graying at the margin
• Accurate shades with elimination
of brightness issues
• Strength and durability of a PFM
• Precise, consistent CAD/CAM fit
• Conventional cementation
Indications
Single crowns and bridgework up to 16 units for the anterior and posterior region
Contraindications
Not recommended with a feather edge preparation, as it does not provide adequate room for porcelain build-up, or the trough/“gutter” shoulder because of scanning error potential
Cementation
Traditional cementation or adhesive bonding
