IPS e.max® CAD

IPS e.max CAD combines uniqueness and high performance. The innovative lithium disilicate ceramic fulfills the highest esthetic demands and unites state-of-the-art technology with exceptional user-friendliness.

The material is designed for fabricating esthetic, high-strength restorations using efficient CAD/CAM processing technology. The glass-ceramic is machined in a “soft” intermediate state in which it exhibits an unusual bluish color. In this state, the material can be manually adjusted or cut back in a few quick and easy steps and the fit can be checked.

Subsequently, the material is crystallized at approximately 850°C for 20 to 30 minutes. In this process, IPS e.max CAD acquires its final strength of 360 MPa’s and the desired esthetic properties, such as tooth shade, translucency and brightness.

CAD/CAM System
DAL mills IPS e.max CAD with the Sirona inLab MC XL and enhanced CEREC 3D Software to deliver better, faster, easier crowns. DAL is a certified CEREC Connect Laboratory.
